About Us

About Us – Amman Hookah Lounge and Café

Amman Hookah Lounge and Café is the hookah enthusiasts’ hookah lounge in the heart of Aurora, Colorado.

Hookah enthusiasts have high expectations when it comes to their hookah and their hookah experience. We are here to deliver them. Our goal is to satisfy each aspect of a hookah smoker’s smoking session:

Hookah preparation

Our hookah is properly prepared for long-lasting sessions and increased flavor profiles. A properly made bowl will prevent a quick burnout, increase flavor, and last longer than poorly made ones. Our coals are selected to last longer during each session. Our knowledge of hookah preparation and smoking allows us to make sure that hookahs are set up for each of our customers to have a quality hookah session.

Hookah and customer service, and coal replacement

As with any business, service is key. Hookah service and customer service is part of the hookah experience. Hookah enthusiasts expect a high caliber for hookah service. This includes regular check-ins and timely replacement of coals. We implement a system to ensure coals are heated and replaced approximately every 45 minutes for each guest to prevent smoking with burned coals. Overall customer service is just as important. Amman Hookah strives to be as friendly and accommodating to meet our customers’ needs as much as possible.

Functional business operations

Our hours of operation are from 12:00PM to 12:00AM every day. Amman Hookah is present and accessible on online platforms. This includes an active and updated website, Facebook page and Instagram; accessibility on Google and navigation maps; and availability on appropriate platforms for reviews. We want you to be a part of our hookah community and encourage you to connect with us as much as possible.

The traditional hookah café environment

We know hookahs have been optimized for the 21st Century, from heat management devices to hookahs made with dozens of parts. Amman Hookah believes in the hookah tradition and culture. We are committed to foil-prepped hookahs and classic-styled hookahs such as Khalil Mamoon. Amman Hookah is inspired by and embodies the traditional aspect of a relaxed atmosphere where friends and members of the community gather to play cards and table games, watch soccer, socialize, and drink light refreshments.

The modern social lounge

Amman Hookah is also the modern social lounge where friends come together to hangout in a mature environment. From parties, to date nights, to relaxing with your closest friends, we strive to make Amman Hookah the place to spend your day or evening enjoying your hookah session in the way that you want.

Our customers are important to us. We want to make each of your visits, whether smoking hookah (over 40 flavors) or drinking tea, or engaging in any of the amenities we provide, the best experience possible. Let us know how we can improve your visit.

Meet the Owner

Amman Hookah is a concept developed by myself, Bridget Leahy. I am a 24 year old from Long Island, New York. Previously, I worked as a research assistant and office manager for a university. In 2014, I relocated to Parker, Colorado with my family and pursued my higher education at the University of Denver. With a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies, I focused most of my education on the politics and international relations related to the Middle East, leading me to learn the Arabic language.

In my journey to learn Arabic, I fell in love with the language and the culture. Fortunately, I was presented with the opportunity to study abroad in Amman, Jordan during my time at the University of Denver. It was in Jordan where I was introduced to a hookah. Hookah is traditionally a custom in the Jordanian culture; households bond with family and friends over hookahs; members of the community gather in hookah cafes throughout the city; and restaurants serve hookah alongside meals. It is a staple of many and eventually I grew fond of the custom.

I spent a lot of my time in cafes during my trip to Jordan. I went after classes to study and do homework, and I would go with a friend or few in the evenings. In an immersive setting, I learned more about not only the Jordanian culture, but the hookah culture itself. I assimilated myself: I learned to play backgammon and card games and made great friends by conversing with the staff and customers.

It has been my dream to open my own hookah café. Inspired by my experiences in Amman, this is what I am set out to achieve. Starting a business, especially as a young woman, is not an easy or riskless undertaking. With a passion for hookah and a hard work ethic, I am committed to building a successful hookah café, right here in Aurora, Colorado.
